The Torrington Leadership Institute (TTLI) was created to help individuals move out of feeling stuck, overlooked, and uncertain—and into clarity, confidence, and purpose.
This work is personal.
I have experienced job loss multiple times, been overlooked, and faced situations where my value was not recognized. I know what it feels like to be left trying to figure out what comes next without guidance.
TTLI exists to provide that missing support.
We help individuals gain clarity, rebuild confidence, strengthen leadership, and take practical steps forward.
At the same time, TTLI works with organizations through leadership training, workshops, and speaking—helping leaders better support and develop the people they serve.
Because many of the challenges individuals face are not just personal—they are rooted in leadership and workplace systems.
Looking ahead, TTLI is part of a larger vision:
To influence how transitions are handled when individuals leave jobs—so they are not left without direction, support, or resources, but are guided forward with clarity and stability.
We believe leadership is not about titles or positions.

Our Founder’s Story
TTLI was born out of personal experience.
For many years, I worked hard to build my future. I earned my MBA and pursued professional growth with determination and discipline. Yet, despite my qualifications and dedication, I often found myself in roles that did not reflect my true potential.
Like many people, I followed well-meaning advice to “take whatever job is available” in order to survive. I was grateful for those opportunities — they paid the bills — but deep down, I knew I was meant for more.
In several workplaces, I found myself supporting others in leadership roles, helping them succeed, while being overlooked for advancement. I worked in environments marked by burnout, infighting, envy, and limited growth — often for little pay and little recognition.
My most defining professional moment came when I was forced to resign from my role as a Child Protective Specialist in New York City due to threats of termination. That experience was painful, but it became a turning point.
I realized that I could no longer shrink myself to fit unhealthy systems.
I knew who I was.
I knew what I was capable of.
And I knew I deserved better.
Growth, Gratitude, and Purpose
I am not angry at those who played a role in my job loss.
But the truth is—it was difficult.
It was frustrating to be overlooked, to be passed over, and to experience decisions that did not always feel fair or justified.
And I know I am not alone in that experience.
Many people are navigating systems, leadership environments, and workplace dynamics that do not always recognize their value.
But I made a decision.
Instead of allowing those experiences to break me, I chose to grow.
What felt like repeated setbacks became redirection.
Those moments pushed me into my purpose, strengthened my resilience, and clarified my calling.
I now see that experience as part of God’s guidance—preparing me for the work I was meant to do.
TTLI was created from that place.

Having faced multiple job losses, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty, Jassee understands firsthand what it means to feel overlooked, undervalued, and unsure of what comes next.
Her work is rooted in helping others navigate those same moments—providing clarity, guidance, and practical steps forward.
Her journey, grounded in faith, resilience, and growth, forms the foundation of TTLI’s mission and impact.
